PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS
There are moments in life and leadership where general guidance is no longer sufficient.
The situation may involve a consequential decision, a professional or personal transition, institutional complexity, a change in identity or direction, or simply the recognition that the existing explanation no longer fits what is happening.
These are situations in which clarity cannot simply be borrowed from someone else.
The work begins by examining what is actually happening.
What a Private Conversation Is:
Private conversations are one-to-one engagements built around a specific situation, question, decision, or threshold.
The work draws on structured inquiry, perception, narrative, and systems thinking to examine the patterns, assumptions, constraints, relationships, and possibilities shaping the situation.
I sometimes use the term Visioncraft for this work because its purpose is not to prescribe a direction, but to strengthen the person's capacity to see clearly enough to author one.
What We May Examine
Structural clarity — What is actually happening, and why?
Perception — What is being observed, assumed, interpreted, or distorted?
Pattern — What continues to recur?
Narrative — What story is organizing the situation?
Systems — What structures, relationships, incentives, or constraints are operating?
Authorship — What decisions or direction genuinely belong to you?
Coherence — How can perception, judgment and action become better aligned?

• consequential personal or professional decisions
• career, leadership, or identity transitions
• complex relational or institutional situations
• questions of direction where several plausible paths exist
• circumstances where the existing interpretation no longer seems adequate
• periods in which greater clarity is needed before action
