What is Remote Viewing, Is There Practical Use?

Reflective introduction to remote viewing and intuitive perception

This article reflects an earlier exploration of remote viewing.

Remote viewing is the practice of seeking impressions about a distant or unseen subject through structured perception, receiving signals across multiple sensory channels beyond ordinary input.

Remote viewing is often described in different ways, but it is best understood as a structured approach to perception under controlled conditions.

Remote viewers are trained with the ability to acquire accurate and direct knowledge not available to the ordinary physical senses. This direct knowledge can include physical senses, locations, things, people, events and can be past, present, or future.

Remote viewers can access such information by utilizing a double-blind tasking of a “target” that is not known to the viewer. The viewer is provided with a randomly generated target ID and utilizing this target ID the viewer will gather and document evidence from the target. This method of data acquisition requires a team of supporting individuals who task the target, collect the remote viewers session data, and analyze the data to report on the findings relevant to the tasking. This method of data acquisition is scientifically based and defensible.

Remote viewing is not the endpoint. It is one structured method for understanding how perception functions beyond immediate sensory input. Link: Perceptual Intelligence

I have added a sample of sessions from the past 6-months that I worked under double-blind conditions while developing my remote viewing skills. In addition to these targets, I have also completed personal “individual outlook” sessions, woo-woo target sessions and 30-day outlook sessions called near-future events. I plan to continue the near future event outlooks and posting them for readers in my newsletter, these will be followed by “near future event hits.” These near-future event sessions are, currently, geared toward global headline news events in the 30-day outlook. If you have specific items, you would like included in these, feel free to leave a comment or send me a message with your idea so we can consider its inclusion.

It does not require belief, ritual, or altered identity. It is a structured process grounded in attention and perception.

What Does Remote Viewing Look Like?

What is remote viewing?

Remote viewing is the practice of gathering impressions about a distant or unseen subject through non-local awareness — a form of focused attention and perceptual discipline that extends beyond the conventional five senses.

Is remote viewing a real skill?

Many people consider it a learnable skill, especially within communities that study intuition, perception, or consciousness research. Whether viewed as a cognitive method, an intuitive practice, or a contemplative exercise, remote viewing invites people to explore the edges of human awareness.

Can anyone learn remote viewing?

Most traditions and training programs operate on the belief that anyone can participate in these exercises with guidance and practice. Different people experience different levels of sensitivity, but the underlying premise is that perceptual capacity is universal and can be strengthened over time.

What matters is not the phenomenon itself, but how perception is refined and stabilized.

What are the practical uses of remote viewing?

People use remote viewing-style practices for:
• personal insight
• decision clarity
• self-development
• creative problem-solving
• strengthening intuition
• enhanced situational awareness

In this sense, the practical value is less about “predicting” anything and more about improving self-perception, pattern recognition, and reflective awareness.

What is the difference between intuition and remote viewing?

Intuition is a spontaneous sense of knowing or feeling.
Remote viewing is a structured protocol for exploring intuition, perception, and non-local awareness in a more disciplined way — often involving blind or double-blind methods designed to reduce bias and support consistency.

In this sense, remote viewing can be seen as an extension of what I describe as Perceptual Intelligence — the human capacity to recognize patterns, meaning, and information beyond immediate sensory input.

This connects to the broader architecture of consciousness and how perception organizes experience. Link: Architecture of Consciousness
